@raisingirl. Yes, it will be just 8 weeks. I think anyone who waited for their surgery to call them seem to have been given the second one earlier, the big centres just book you 12 weeks ahead regardless of the situation. My daughter is going to Wadebridge and has got both appointments 12 weeks apart. They did say on the letter that if you didn’t want or couldn’t get to a big centre just wait for your GP, that’s what we did, I had the AZ, OH had the Pfizer.

I have been asked by a few parents of children in the 20-30 year old group, what I would do, and my view is still, have any vaccine you are offered, certainly safer than not having it.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
It turns out the jab centres are recommending that breastfeeding mothers don't have the jab even though it's considered to be safe. It's a shame they didn't tell my wife before she went to get hers done.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
A friend of mine who has had her second jab, Pfizer, (she is always moaning about something I might add) moaning about people saying they had "side effects", because she had none!! I don't consider we are moaning about them on here, we are just compairing notes.
Sorry last should read we AREN'T moaning about our health on here we are swapping notes. My eldest son shocked me yesterday, told me he has his first jab tomorrow, and his mental health has gone seriously downhill since hearing about the problems his brother has had with DWP and this health assessment, apparently, there were no questions regarding mental health on the form.Told him to make sure he keeps in touch and of need be me or youngest sister can help out
I did an antibody blood test yesterday for the UK Biobank study which turned out to be negative. My 2nd jab (AZ) is booked for next week, 11 weeks after the 1st.
Has anyone been offered a vaccination against Shingles recently ? I received a letter from my local GP surgery today - completely out of the blue but saying I am now "eligible". Still waiting for my 2nd Covid injection which I am more concerned about than a shingles vaccine. My OH contracted shingles in the early 70's and I am aware this is a nasty disease but haven't noticed much kerfuffle about this in the intervening decades. What with Flu jabs and Covid jabs, I'm beginning to feel somewhat holy
