I have missed the backstory here. Who is suggesting prisoners should not be vaccinated? That seems an extraordinary standpoint and, as Dove says, just wrong from all perspectives.

Throughout the pandemic Rutland has had one of the lowest infection rates in the country. This week I believe it sits at the very top of that ignominious league table due to an outbreak at Stocken Hall prison.

I remember (only too well) the polio vaccinations in the 50s.  So painful that, when children of a certain age were supposed to have a fourth booster, I refused to let the doctor anywhere near me!  Today was a walk in the park in comparison.
In the 50’s the polio vaccine was given as a liquid on a sugar cube.
Wow, that brought back some memories. I cant remember much of my childhood, but I do remember the sugar lump being given to me when I was at primary school. Now I know what it was lol... :D

@BenCotto it was being discussed on the morning news program, I believe a certain politician said that prisoners should be the very last to receive a vaccine then the discussion change as to whether prisoners should or shouldn’t be vaccinated

That idea is right up there with failing grayling's idea to stop prisoners having access to books.

Has anyone else who has had/may have had Covid a while ago experienced  strange fluid filled spots ... a bit like Chickenpox spots?

Not really the same but my wife has just noticed the appearance of bruising on two fingers.

@B3 I believe prisoners of today are very well looked after compared of years ago, saying that the laws have also changed unfortunately not for the best in my opinion

Yes thanks @floralies and  @pansyface 😊 It’s odd ... it’s not a ‘rash’ as such ... just one or two a day of these blistery spots appearing first on my torso and now my face for about a week. I had mild shingles 20 ish years ago and those spots were really painful. These are totally painless and it’s 13 months or so since I had Covid if that’s what it was, but I have had a series of Long Covid symptoms  since then. Very odd.

Interesting. Do you have experience of the UK prison system ... as a worker or inmate ... or as a visitor perhaps?
