My mother had a soapy flannel in a food bag for sticky fingers and nappy changes on the move before the invention of wipes. Surely you can use baby wipes?

If this hand sanitiser situation doesn't sort itself out soon I'm going to have to set up a handwashing facility in the back of the car for the alfresco nappy changes.
A flask of hot water, a bar of soap, a bucket and a towel in the back of an estate car ... it's what we did before 'wipes' ... and that was in the days of terry nappies.
These still are the days of terry nappies :p  They're just a bit posher now with poppers and stuff. The wipes are all washable bamboo fibre things as well. I've got the cold water handwash setup from the campervan I can use but that's a good idea for hot water.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Listen to your mum Debs. The soapy flannel in a bag is far better than these hand washes.
That would be more effective in trolley handles. Dove, have you seen what has to come with the baby these days for a nappy change.

I am in no ways saying that this is a cure, a protection or anything else, but I wonder after a hand wash with soap,  a greasy hand cream may be good, the virus can’t attach so well to greasy skin, that’s why soap is the best, but would that add just a bit more grease/oil to the hands?

Yay!  for terry nappies ... but the ones with poppers don't look the same flapping away on the washing line ... rows and rows of square white nappies up and down the garden.

I have used disposable on other folks little ones, but prefer terries.

I just hope your mum didn't wipe you with the cloth after the nappy change @debs64 ;)

I had to use disposables eventually for youngest fairylet, as you couldn't get the plastic pants. It was before all these companies sprung up with the new types. I loved seeing them on the washing line too  :)
I still use many of those terry nappies. Dyed - they made hand towels for the kitchen. I keep one in the car for wiping down feet after a walk, and some are used for clearing up etc after painting.

It would be nice to get them out on the line but it would have to stop raining for that :(
