Agree about "It depends".   Treadmill then for me.

Maybe the purpose of the quiz was to prove that there is no clear guidance. If it was, it succeeded admirably.

Perhaps we need a new category.  Covismarts ? Covigoodies eg ? Annoyingly, it's not the easiest word to play around with :D

I got a fairly rubbish 5 on the BBC quiz (including the one about Scotland and the one about demonstrations, which aren't really relevant to me). I think it's an irresponsible quiz because it could encourage people to think that it's actually OK to do the things that the quiz points out aren't actually illegal (and would be unenforceable if they were), like standing closer than 2m to someone in a shop queue. We all know what's the right thing to do, even if it's difficult and goes further than what's actually illegal.

@Obelixx, lick my finger while wearing a mask? I’m not a lizard!

I take your point though about touching the mask and then rubbing your eye. But why don’t people counsel ‘don’t tough the mask, or your hat, or your hair, or your face, or your glasses, or your scarf, or your coat’?  The virus doesn’t just land on the mask and nowhere else.

PS I completely agree with your stance regarding the cookery school.

See earlier reply. Maybe you act as a vacuum cleaner when you breath in, so local particles get sucked onto the surface of the mask?

    Thanks @steveTu. That makes sense.

I only got 3/7 in the quiz #shamefaced but we did come first in the local village Christmas quiz.

You may lick your fingers after touching the mask to remove it @BenCotto.  Agree about other items of clothing.  I hang my coat or jacket up to air when I get back and have been in the habit of changing my clothing when I get back from my weekly shop.

As @punkdoc says, you need all 3 measures - hand washing, face mask and distancing to be safe.

I thought London is in National Lockdown, so the rules are per https://www.gov.uk/guidance/national-lockdown-stay-at-home#exercising and hence the recent media discussion about what 'local' means - the gov says (under travel):
'...If you need to travel you should stay local – meaning avoiding travelling outside of your village, town or the part of a city where you live – and look to reduce the number of journeys you make overall....'
