@Songbird-1. That was me, yes it does work, I didn’t make it up. Although most people think it’s ok to rest your arm on your lap! .
i had no pain or soreness in my arm and no swelling.

I did as you suggested, Lyn, and though I can’t say my arm is sore, three days post vaccination I am still very aware of it being punctured.

AZ for me, maybe you clenched your arm, it has to be completely relaxed.

I let my arm dangle the second time (first one I followed the advice of the nurse who gave the shot to move it around a few minutes prior and after).. and it is still sore after using the dangle method, but no where near as sore as the first time using the flex method.  First time I could barely use my arm to wash my hair, etc.. anything that involved moving it up.  This time it's sore and I know I had a shot, but not bad.  I had the Moderna vaccine.

By the way, with the second shot I still had a flu like symptoms.. for longer that the first shot, but about the same moderate flu-like level symptoms.  After about 24 hours of discomfort, chills, soreness, sweats, and inability to concentrate on anything.. I'm up and around, feeling nearly normal aside from a mild headache and a sore neck/back.

I will certainly be giving the dangle-method a go when I have my second jab next week.
I don’t mind a sore arm too much but the immune response is horrible. It sounds like more people are having a symptomatic immune response than with a Flu jab - or are we just obsessed with everything COVID?

Maybe.  But I've never had more than a sore arm for a day from the flu jab.. NEVER an immune response from any vaccine, really.  Not like this.  And I'm 40, fit, and healthy with no preexisting health issues.  (I am an in-person teacher to 350+ students who got a vaccine through my school district).
