I hate wearing masks, feel like I can't get enough air, so I don't go anywhere that I need to wear one unless it's unavoidable.  It has meant that local shops etc don't get my custom as I now buy everything I need on line.  I feel very sorry for those who have to wear them day in and day out.
Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • I’m sure that any surgeon operating on you, will be relieved that you don’t expect him or her, or any other operating theatre staff, to wear a mask whilst carrying out  your procedure, if it makes the operation a less pleasant experience for them; even if they are at risk of leaving you with a possibly fatal infection in your abdomen or brain or wherever.

Yes, well said Dove, when my Hubby sulked when he returned to work, I suggested he, and the others, who find it "a less than pleasant experience" wear full PPE for a 12 hour shift, then see how they get on!!Which thread was that video by Chris Whitty, saying he didnt want to scare people cannot find it?A staggering ammount of people STILL think they are wearing a mask to protect THEM

I still get hot flushes a million years after the meno, and shopping in winter in a coat, inside a shop, is a "less than pleasant experience", it's not just feeling hot, sometimes, dizzy, feeling like you are going to pass out.

I find some masks more comfortable than others. I prefer the disposable ones or the ones I made out of old pillow cases.  I found a couple of bought reusable ones difficult to breathe through.

I would assume that any surgeon operating on me would be wearing his mask correctly rather than under his nose. I would expect anyone riding a motorbike to wear a helmet but I don’t wear one myself all the time.
Protective clothing should be worn appropriately and correctly. That is not happening.
As others have said anything which prevents us using our local shops and businesses needs to be considered carefully. Mr.Amazon must be a very happy man these days.
We should also consider the environmental impact of disposable masks.

We could start a great conspiracy theory 😉

Not a conspiracy theory just the effect of compulsory mask wearing and locking down shops so close to Christmas. I am trying to avoid Amazon and look at supporting small businesses online but nothing beats a mooch around the shops.
Not looking forward to explaining to everyone who calls into work wanting their prescription delivered that they are no longer shielded and so can’t be helped. We do our very best but there are only so many hours in the day and the delivery driver can only do so much. We are well over capacity already.

Everything, beats a mooch around the shops, I know women are supposed to love shopping, I absolutely hate it.  I obviously have to go shopping, we have to eat.  I make a list, know where stuff usually is, go up,down the isles, back in the car home., if Hubby comes with me, he wants to look and browse.  He refuses to use self-service, so then you are waiting in a queue, wasting time.  Clothes, I wanted a pair of rust or dark beige jeans, he is saying what about this shop that shop, no I just want to get home.  Desided to go ito town this Monday for 9 am open, managed to get them in M & S, he looked at them, said, he was sure they wouldnt fit me, they are perfect.  Luckily you cannot try on at the moment, my arthriticky, hands, wrists, arms make undressing in shops a nightmare. Sorry, would rather order on-line,try on at my leisure.  I do go to local shops, have done since March, but boy do you pay a premium!  Used to support local pet shop, then forign owners trippled the rent, it closed, it now some Pizza place, (I dont like pizzas)
