The Vulnerable (ie folk like me) are locked away, Wild Edges. Have been since February. I don’t need a vaccine, I’m quite happy stuck behind my garden walls watching the madness all around me.
Anybody want my shot, just ask.
Problem is that being an older person I’m keeping away from other folk etc, but as I now have a broken tooth I’m going to have to go into the city to the dentist. Also as my OH is younger than I am he had to go to work, and I’m not going to stay away from him for the rest if my life.
Wonky’s husband is very vulnerable due to having Sickle Cell ... he was told to shield earlier, but now he has to go to work, and so does she. It’s not as simple as just isolating oneself.

So far down here in SW we have been relatively clear, at least since the first lockdown, Not so now, some stupid thoughtless girl went up to Manchester last week to visit her boy friend, tested positive , then came back to birthday celebrations with her friends, consequences are that in our tiny town, 5 miles from us, the Pasty shop/ restaurant had to close, and the fish n chip shop along the road so all staff are out of work and been tested, and their children can’t go to school. Two confirmed cases so far and the rest waiting for results. Thank you little girl, you’ve done a wonderful job!!

I still think the original lockdown was necessary as it stopped the NHS being overwhelmed and we knew so little about the disease. But now I think we just need to get on with things.
Unfortunately I think the NHS would still get overwhelmed if we just went straight back to normal. I agree this isn't being handled well though, with a better track and trace system and stricter border controls (temporarily) then we could be a lot better off in lots of ways.
My late Father learnt to drive on his National Service, and visited some amazing places and sights. He didn't mention trying to kill anyone, but I have friends with kids in the army, suppose they are taught combat skills. Lizzie thought you were going to say she came for a cuppa 9 days ago, and stayed locked down with you!
And trumps leaving hospital.i wonder if he will do a tour first and shake everybodies hand before he goes? You couldnt make it up .I'm so tired of this.
I don't cry easily but I actually shed a tear for these people.
I thought it was in the rules to be able to provide support for a vulnerable person eg. care needs, so how is that any different? Or is psychological care not seen as valuable? This will be one of those videos, played back in years to come, that reflects the whole COVID experience.
