If people aren’t wearing masks then I’d stay away from them ... same as I do from badly driven cars, uncontrolled dogs and groups of smokers outside pubs ... nothing’s that important ... go round another way or come back another day ... stay safer that way 😷

According to my neighbour the majority of exempted wearers are men, she was a bit disappointed to find so many in our small Tescos.

Its just a massive waste of energy to get worked up about other people not wearing masks.  Its a much nicer world if we all just assume that everybody not wearing one has a genuine legitimate reason and don't give it a second thought.

The stories of people being abused for not wearing them are just horrible,  I don't want to live in that kind of world.
After all if YOU are wearing one, YOU are safe and everyone is safe from you. And the best advert is example. Someone I know takes extra masks out with her and gives them to folk.  When I was in hospital recently all staff, nurses, doctors, cleaners, ie all who came in from the outside, wore masks and we patients did not.

    That’s not entirely true.

That is what the hospital said and did.   And they are professionals and to be trusted. Especially as they have care of  seriously ill folk . But ????

PLEASE CAN WE NOT SPREAD DUBIOUS INFORMATION.

MASKS may protect others from you, they do not protect you from others.
RESPIRATORS [ N95 etc. ] offer you protection from others.
How can you lie there and think of England

I would rather see people without masks than wearing them incorrectly especially when the masks worn are disposable and adding to the terrible environmental impact this virus is having on the planet.

@islandanchoress you obviously don’t realise that @punkdoc is a medical professional by anyone’s standards and knows exactly what he is talking about. Many medical professionals have expressed doubt about the effectiveness of mask wearing. Most people wear them incorrectly and they are therefore useless.

Yes I know who is who here. Thank you. And you have no idea who I am and my qualifications in this area.    Medics all differ in opinions and ideas. OK? OK and over and OUT .  I know who to trust and why    ,Blessings and peace to all here.

I have enjoyed my time here.  Greatly.

@islandanchoress I am sorry if I offended you I know you are new on the forum and wasn’t sure if you were aware. I think mask wearing is one of many things on which different professionals differ. I live in a heavily populated area and I can assure you that at least half the people I see are wearing their masks incorrectly and it’s irritating. I personally am not even slightly worried about catching the virus but it’s annoying  seeing so many people walking around with their noses poking out assuming they are “safe” It seems like a constant reminder of the ridiculous way this crisis has been handled.
