So I goes like I’m bored  of this.

Have you not that supermarket shopping is fairly normal? There are a few sparse shelves but everything seems to be there and no queues.
People have either got bored with ( of) panic buying or they're working their way through what they bought last time.
A bit short sighted as they'll probably need their stocks in January.
    In London. Keen but lazy.
  • Everyone’s got to eat their stockpiles to make room for their Christmas goodies.

  • I never used to shop for more than I need.not now tho.i go every 2 weeks rather than every week.my mentality has changed.every time I go I feel I need to stock up in case either of us gets sick and theres plenty of food in.i think it will take a long time to get rid of that way of thinking.
  • It seems crazy to me that having been careful since March, that people are now throwing caution to the wind.
I may have said this before but, my father joined the RAF in 1939 before conscription was introduced. He was  aged 19 thousands more like him did the same. They put up with 6 years of war because they knew it was "the right thing to do". Surely we can put up with a few more weeks of restrictions, several vaccines are coming & they tend to produce longer lasting immunity than natural infections as the "dose" is more consistent.
I too recommend the Which report referred to a few pages back, face covering DO work even after washing, so long as they are of the right type.

@punkdoc , @Dovefromabove Please don't misunderstand me - I'm not advocating people's opinions one way or the other, as I'm trying to stay neutral to avoid arguments! This is just the attitude I've come across several times amongst people I speak to (friends and work colleagues, sometimes from the least expected people). I think it's important that it is acknowledged that there is fatigue out there, is all I was trying to convey.

This time around I'm just going to take all the precautions I reasonably can, so the behaviour of others affects me as little as possible, both mentally and physically.
  • Yes I get you @AnniD 😊 👍
fatigue is getting to us all ... but it’s the way we deal with it ... our attitude ... that will help us all get through it ... and attitudes are contagious just like the virus 😷

Oh I’m sorry @AnniD ... my mistake ... any coffee at all would be good ... but my coffeemaker is still asleep ... I won’t give him a nudge as he’s not in work today .,, I’ll tiptoe down and make it  ... would you like one?  How do you take it?  😉
