All that kissing @barry island plus they tend to get together to eat as a family.
Lots of visitors passing through the country , and in Venice big boat loads of people getting off and going to Verona or the lakes.

Kissing yes I hadn't thought of that not so much random kissing this side of the channel. BBC just reported people in Iran dying from alcohol poisoning due to fake news saying that alcohol can prevent catching coronavirus.

Having once visited a colleague in his Italian Intensive care Unit, I can vouch for the fact, that not only is there much kissing, but also Italians disobey almost all rules, so spread of the virus was almost always going to be inevitable.
They have no empty critical care beds and are in severe trouble.
I sincerely hope this is not us in a week or two.
How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

I think that it looks inevitable unless we are very lucky.

    Italians disobey almost all rules.

Apparently when the quarantine plans were leaked, thousands tried to dash away from the area. A kindness to the rest of Italy. The govt plans sound to me like they come about a month too late; they missed the cruise ship, surely.

It seems that people with the virus from Wuhan landed in northern Italy in January.

It seems all the cruise ships left just before China decided they did have a problem,  and that was still two weeks too late.

Morrison's this morning had an excess of toilet roll, so much it didn't fit on the shelves and was stacked in the aisle, but I saw a lady having an angry rant at the empty soap shelves and I couldn't get the baby stuff I needed as it was all sold out. No one seemed at all concerned about hygene or not coughing and sneezing all over things as normal though.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
