I thought that was what postmen always did.  Isn’t that part of the job?
Two choices, get out there with soap on a cloth or put a big piece of cardboard over the letter box with strong tape.

But the gin distilleries are all making alcohol sanitising stuff for the hospitals now  ... there'll be a gin shortage next and then what’ll we do with our lemons? 🍋

Question for those who don't make their own compost... Has anyone found a solution to buying compost at the moment (without breaking the bank), or ethically should we just be thinking to write off seedlings once we've run out of what we have left over from last year. i.e Should we unfortunately class growing our own to be "non-essential"?

Many garden centres are doing delivery in the locality. Lidl usually have compost in at this time of year so you could pick it up with the shopping.

Who knows.  Perhaps we do tend at times to jump the gun.  Fair do's.  Where is all this money coming from?  HM Gov is basically saying.  We will pay you your salary.  Then all this TV talk about helping the vunerable. The pro's and con's can go on for ever.

This virus really is a bolt out of the blue. You, me and the scientist are battling to find some kind of help etc.  This is so unreal.  We have no idea about the incubation period.  So.  I wake up with the sniffles.  Damn, a common cold.?

Honestly the advice we are being fed is confusing.  So.  I wake up and begin coughing.  OK a dry throat.  Most of us sleep with our mouths open......so what.  How many of us take our temperature daily?  Oh mum.  I do feel bad.  We are told not to go to the GP.  Mind you.  This once every day thing has now become a mountain to climb.  I remember the days.  You felt sick.  You next find yourself sitting in the GP's waiting room.  Now you have to make an appointment to be ill and require a consultation.

I really enjoy this site. You’re all so different and the jokes are good.

Hubby and I have just been for a walk around part of our 100  acres and I managed 2904 steps.rather pleased with that. We got a bit sweaty on the trek back up to the house.  It’s 27 degrees today.
