Plenty of toilet rolls in shops around here so hoping it’s a temporary problem.
it's bound to be temporary. Given there's absolutely no need for it. There will be lots of people who now have enough toilets rolls to get them to Christmas so once the SMs have restocked, it'll be fine.

I just got my usual 9 roll pack as I have nearly run out. Shops all had plenty. Only issue seems to be hand sanitiser gel but I dont use it so not worried about that.
My daughters just been shopping, she was down to 3 rolls, wanted her usual 9 pack, none to be had in the SM’s but she got one pack in Aldi, the woman in front had a trolley load, cashier wouldn’t let her have them. I don’t know if I would feel more embarrassed taking them all off the shelf or having the cashier refuse to serve me. She said there was no soap, pasta or rice on the shelves.
When we had bread, flour, petrol and sugar shortages in the early 70’s it was not allowed, you could have one, and that was it. I remember asking for icing sugar, I was told to grind up the bag of gran I’d just bought. Petrol was bought from only one garage, and only a pounds worth at a time. Fortunately the ration books issued were never needed. Now it’s just the rich can stock and the poor old man/woman on just a pension can go without.
My OH calls this Consumer Capitalism. Someone at the top is making plenty of money. Don't ask me what he means, I don’t study like he does.

And to add to my post above, daughter says all of the drugs were taken of the shelves, she thinks maybe the staff have removed them, as there were none at all, she couldn’t believe people would strip the shelves of medical stuff, I’m sure they have.

It's funny how your mindset changes. I was watching a programme where luvvies were doing the kissy kissy thing. It looked inappropriate - even though it was recorded well before the virus.
