Morning all. I hate the clock changes - usually takes me the rest of the week to re-set.
I missed my weekend lie in yesterday (for shopping) and today’s was only to make up for the hour less. Mustn’t grumble though.

    Have a good day all.

My garden and I live in South Wales.

Hail, sleet and snow here @WonkyWomble ... hammering on the windows so I could hardly hear the Archers while I was having my breakfast

Morning all,  Sunny here, but very cold and windy so not sure if any gardening will get done.  Don't do ironing.  If they've been in the tumble drying or on the line I give the clothes a good shake and fold them carefully, it's rare that anything needs ironing.  I want the mild weather back again so I can sit in the garden and relax.

Bright but cold wind here then it started sleeting! Was going to plots but might leave it till tomorrow now. We have a water softener here but for the iron we used water that has been boiled in the kettle.

We must be lucky then, although it's breezy, the sun is shining and it seems reasonably warm with a couple of fleeces on. Waiting for OH to start tackling up the stump.
Oh, better amend that, definitely a bit gusty now.

For the few things g thhat get ironed in this house I use Wrose ironing water ... if you live in a hard water area like this one the alternative is buying a new steam iron every eighteen months.
My last iron lasted about 25 years in a very hard water area because I only used distilled water for it, which is sold in the DIY section in French supermarkets. Here I have found it in places like B&Q.

I have probably said before, I like ironing, peaceful and satisfying. I always sit down in front of the TV to do it.

It snowed this morning, proper flakes, but they didn't settle.

I ordered plants last night, from Crocus and Gardening Express. We've never been long enough in Norfolk before to be certain that they'll arrive before we go back to France and I've always had the freedom of visiting several local GCs before this virus started. Bought 2 red roses as we don't have any here, "Souvenir du Dr Jamain" for a north facing fence and "Parkdirektor Riggers" which I had seen last summer in Peter Beales garden, quite striking. Also some perennials.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Not bothered about the time change here now we're retired.  More concerned that someone has nicked the sun and left a big door open to the north east.  It is blowing a hooly and very cold so I will not be weeding the rose beds today.  Expecting a wind chill of -8C tomorrow morning!  Humph!   Don't feel like painting or sewing so maybe some seed sorting.

I hope everyone is well and not getting stir crazy.  @Dovefromabove your soldier looks a bit limp!   Lunchtime here, according to OH.  Bon appétit everyone.
