Nipped out to top up the bird feeders and found a very sluggish slow worm on the path. Tucked it away next to the house wall to try and keep it away from foxes and cats.
Hi folks, managed to get a few jobs done today. A bit more tidying of the borders and re defined the edge of the back lawn with the half moon thingy (clearly a technical term). It's been a mainly sunny day and not too cold so quite enjoyed being out in the garden. Visited mum this morning she was cheerful and in a good mood which was really nice, we chatted about grandchildren and great grandchildren. Am still not sure what to do with the new bed what I really want is an instant 15ft evergreen tree but don't think one exists, well not one I can afford.
Had a quiet day. This female blackbird is very tame, only a few inches from my feet. I'd been taking photos of the daffodils I planted at the cottage last November.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I had to download a copy and magnify it to read it @punkdoc but it was worth it. Don't think i'll be translating it for the ladies at patch tomorrow tho.

Why only one day? Even women need more than that to get some things done.
We've loved your postcards
