Hi folks, just back from a couple of days of Nanna duty. Gabriel has worn me out, he hasn't stopped for a moment and he's teething at the moment so quite clingy. It's been a lovely day here, very springlike with lots of sunshine a bit cold though. Hoping to get out in the garden tomorrow as I need to carry on the clear up after trees were removed.
Hubby does all the supermarket runs here, he hasn't mentioned any shortages, will just have to see how it goes.
Well that was an exciting 20 minutes... suddenly found we had a bat flying round the living room. Had to shut the cat in the kitchen, then eventually hubby managed to throw a dust sheet over the bat and imprison it in an easy chair, which we carried out through the front door. When we'd uncovered it, it flew away none the worse, apparently. But how did it get in?? Goodness knows!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
We’ve got the same supermarket situation with toilet rolls, but our son said his local Aldi in Canberra had full shelves plus a pallet sitting in the isle to reassure people. 😁. They are very organised.
We’ve just seen footage on the early news - a group of people having a fist fight in Woolworths over toilet rolls. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I keep giggling when I think of it. I wish I’d recorded it. Can you believe it?
morningn all. Another damp morning with more rain to come. I've got a couple of hundred pots of alliums to get planted and I'm NOT happy . The ground is like mud in places.
Lizzie - if you flush those you'll block your drains in no time
Hosta - can't even think about starting here. We haven't had floods but the garden is still basically a stream. Water is running off the hill above the house and I've walked up there - it's like walking through a shallow lake. It'll be weeks yet before it dries up. Probably not until the leaves come on the trees in the woods

If I really, really have to enter an Ikea store, I usually buy a year's supply. They are the best I've found at a reasonable price.

I spent an hour gazing at the waxing gibbous moon between 4 and 5, but went back to sleep and have only just woken again. 😊
It could be worse @Hostafan1 ... I’ve known a March so dry it was hard to get a fork into the clay. Don’t suppose there’s any such thing as normal 😉
