We've known the Agent for years so she's not going to bring anyone who she feels wouldn't suit us, but it's still a bit nerve-racking given we're going to be so close together.
We've returned from scattering my Aged Ps' ashes over the marram north of their old home in Southwold ... in an icy wind with rain stinging our cheeks and huge waves crashing on the beach ... it would've been Pa's 100th birthday today so it seemed as good a day as any to do it. We had lunch at the Harbour Inn and raised a glass to them.

We've been to lunch at the Great House in Lavenham, my treat for OH's birthday which was on the 25th February but I wasn't in Norfolk then and that was the day he saw the surgeon. Delicious meal. Good day for it as it's cold, wet and windy.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Sounds like two good occasions @Dovefromabove and @Busy-Lizzie. We've just had Chicken Chasseur with a couple of glasses of pink Pino so feeling rather relaxed and watching the museum documentary on TV. Daughter has gone back to Devon for a few days as she feels a bit better so we're enjoying just the two of us again.
That tale brings back memories of my fathers ashes, Dove. He wanted his scattered over Ulladulla harbour, so the same sentiment. Nice that they came home. 😀
Sounds like a good day yesterday @Dovefromabove. My dad's ashes were scattered at his favourite beach for walking the dogs up on the Cumbrian coast.
It has been wet here and so it goes on. Record rainfalls recently and an orange warning all over the Vendée as rivers and lakes flood over saturated ground. Blowing a hooly as storm Norberto carries on. SM raid this morning then cosy indoor activities for a while yet. The locals are getting very restive but they'll probably be complaining about drought in a few months.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Morning everyone. No rain here today, but we got almost 25 mm over the last 3days, so we’re very grateful for that.
I’m hoping that Chicky’s holiday hasn’t been spoiled by the weather. They’ve had more rain in Qld.
Watching Masterchef, but am, as usual, annoyed by Monica. Also, why do all shows nowadays have stupid music all through the talking, etc. it’s hard enough to hear what they’re saying without the background music. 😡😡 Some of the food they’ve been asked to prepare include, finger clams, liver, etc. yuk. And of course, they all have booze in the sauce. Extra yuk. 😡😡

That is a lovely idea to mark what would have been your Pa’s 100th Birthday @dovefromabove.
Hope you enjoyed lunch @Busy-Lizzie.
Just back from visiting in-laws so having some hot crossed buns as an early tea and I’ll do a supper later of leftover pasta bake.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts.

Yet more rain overnight.
