Chloramphenicol eye drops prescribed by doctors can be bought over the counter exactly the same strength etc for about £7. Hope that helps

That's exactly the drops my OH came back with Debs 🤗🤗  He had a chat with the pharmacist and that's what they recommended. Tiny little bottle too!
Thank you Rubee and Hazel. Yes I seem to be catching colds etc these last few month. Think it's all caught up with me and I should probably have earlier nights than I do. Perhaps I should make a late new years resolution 😂.......i must go to bed earlier.

    Hazel sounds like you're prepared!

I'm glad that whatever the trouble was regarding the tiny font has now been rectified. SGL, you have had a lot of stressful times just recently and your immune system is probably compromised and that is why you seem to be picking up everything going. I go to bed reasonably early but last night I was very late and I was still wide awake at 03:00. I thought that going later might have got me to sleep more quickly. That experiment failed miserably I heard that flower club is on as usual tomorrow so that is one event I don't need to scratch off my calendar.

Lily I hope you will be feeling better soon.  Zinc is very good for your immune system.  Hazel good look with the a Jury service next week, it sounds like you are fully prep’d.

I have been out in the rain wind and hail . Three layers of top clothes on plus my waterproof . Enjoyed myself immensely. Planted some roses and did a bit of pottering. My face is glowing .Going for a shower.  Lily hope the eye drops work .

Thank you Rosie, I have been taking some vitamin tablets these last couple of months.......although they don't really seem to have made any difference. 😕 Maybe I'll give Zinc a try.
Thank you Rubee, so do I, never had conjunctivitis this bad before. It says on the bottle to use every 2 hours for the first 2 days. So hopefully I'll see some difference  by tomorrow 🤞

Evening all. Glad to see the backroom boys managed to sort out the font issues - the pages just didn’t look right.

SGL - sorry to hear you’re poorly again. LB & I both know that this horrid cough / cold virus thingy is extremely tenacious and takes a lot of shifting. Your immune system is probably a bit battered with all the stress of the last 18 months so I strongly recommend lots of self-pampering and indulgences. Look after yourself.

We’ve had another funny old day. At 9.30am FIL was third on the list for surgery this afternoon. By 11am that had changed to never on the list for surgery and going for CT scan instead. Even that changed from CT scan to X-Ray within the hour. Different story depending on who speaks to who (whom?).

MIL is rather exhausted by it all (as are the rest of us). She’s not feeling too good today and has slept in her chair all day. Hopefully a break from visiting will recharge her batteries.

We decided not to visit today because OH needs a break after driving nearly every day for the last 3 weeks and the current 100 mile round trip is very draining. If they’ve been doing scans there was also every chance FIL wouldn’t have been on the ward this afternoon. BIL has gone over this evening bless him so we should have more news tonight.

I’m going home tomorrow because the tree surgeons arrive first thing Thurs morning. Life is hectic...

Fish all scrubbed and polished and looking good. I've taken some of the water plants out of the tank as they were slowly taking over. Shattered now. T'Bird, you are another one who should take care. All the to-ing and fro-ing can be very wearing for you too. I just think that so far 2020 has been a rather rough start to the new decade. I haven't had to alter the calendar at all. As well as flower club being on, Canasta on Friday is too. I wonder what the turn out for both events will be like.

    Good evening to all.
Beautiful day was here and I went to cottage immediately after school. A lot of work has been done and I recharged my batteries but my backs are complaining on unexpected work. Warm shower was so relaxing.
I don't watch the news last few days but I heard that from today whole Italy is isolated. We are neighbours and travel to Italy is forbidden.

SGL, get well soon. Make your immune system stronger and take care of yourself.

LB, sorry to hear that your experiment failed. I'm like a chicken, fall asleep when is getting darker outside🤣.
