Your new bit of knowledge for today (for those who haven't at some stage discovered this for themselves...) -

A full 4 pint plastic carton of milk dropped from waist height makes one helluva mess!😬😟

Ante - sorry to hear you've been stressed as well. Hope your sister's car didn't involve too many euros.

Workmen still not here - could have had another hour's kip🤨

Hi all ... I had initially asked Topbird to post this, but then discovered she's got stuff going on herself,  so thought I'd just flag up Obelixx's message on Forkers about Lily Pilly's sad decline in health ... Obs is in touch with her husband  ... while he didn't want a huge fuss etc, he would like to be able to talk to her about her online friends, so she's posted the news on Forkers and I said I'd draw it to your attention so that everyone is aware.

LB Im sad to hear you have been struggling with your cough for sometime for so long.  I’m hoping the medication helps over time..  Debs Happy Birthday 🌹to youngest daughter and you’ll be looking forward to your day out at the garden centre on Saturday.  Topbird I’m sad to hear your news and I hope things go smoothly with sil and that she supports fil and mil.  I hope having the workmen will go smoothly.  Try and take some time for yourself amidst what’s happening.  Hazel you’ve had some stressful times before and I hope you are able to enjoy your garden soon when the weather improves.  Debs I hope oh and you can find some time together where you too can relax and hope your all able to go to the garden centre.  Ante I’m sad that your sister had trouble with her car but managed after some disruption to get home.

Hello all I haven't had chance to say 'good morning' to. My friend really had the 'talkers' on her today. I'm not complaining, I just wasn't expecting it. She is now well on her way back to Crewe and I have only just finished my breakfast - well I guess its brunch really.
Ante, I was so sorry to hear about your sister's nightmare drive. I must admit that I didn't know she had driven to see you. That must have been a very long journey and very worrying if something is not working right with the car. She must have been quite exhausted when she finally got home but at least she is safe - if a bit poorer with all the €s she has had to spend.
T'Bird, that sounds like a nightmare and fancy those workmen not getting to you on time - so thoughtless! Thinking about you and the family.

    Afternoon!

I had one of those new £20 notes just now!

Sadly I had to top up the electric so it was in my possession for all of two minutes...

@Dovefromabove thankyou for sharing, I'm sorry to hear about your friend.

Afties Chey. At least you've seen one! My brother handled one last weekend but I've not see a real one yet. No doubt I won't have to wait long.

Chive - 4 pts goes an awfully long way.... Just washed the kitchen floor (sorry Col TT) to remove the last residues - but I suspect some has seeped under the kitchen units despite my best efforts. Not got time to start removing and replacing plinths so the kitchen will probably stink of stale milk in a few days. Hey ho!

Hazel - I used to exchange posts and PM's with Lily P. She had a lovely, large garden in Scotland which I think she was busy reclaiming or restoring. I think it was about 4 acres and I recall pictures of a walled kitchen garden or similar. Beautiful. We exchanged several PM's when we were both struggling to deal with box blight in formal parts of the garden. About the same time Monty lost a load of his structural hedges. Thanks to Dove for alerting us to her illness.

Workmen did arrive. A bit late but they had a lot to load up - they'll be here again at 8am. No late rising and wandering around in me nightie - they're working at bedroom and landing level.

You wouldn't have thought a large supermarket would have one singular loaf of bread left, but here we are!

    Nabbed it for myself  :p
