Morning T'Bird. First of all, it won't affect your roses at all so no worries there. Your FIL sounds a lovely man and whilst SIL is a 'winder upper' I do have a certain amount of sympathy for her, having come so far. Fingers crossed that your MIL escapes the cold.
I've just had my youngest sister - who lives in Newton Aycliffe - on the phone. She is the one who talks for so long I can decorate my front room whist she is on. It was only 1 hour 6 minutes this morning. I am now exhausted!

Morning Rosie - you snuckered in there. That whole food store sounds fascinating. I love any kind of store where you can go in and have a good root round at all the varieties on offer. The thing is you can get a bit carried away and spend loads. I have always wanted to go to Betty's. It's on my bucket list!

You’ll have to have a Fat Rascal if you go to Betty’s LB! When we lived in York it was a regular routine - once a fortnight - Tuesday evening - go to the library - change books - go home via Betty’s for a full works hot chocolate.
Currently in the hospital canteen. Left OH & MIL to go up to the ward while I grab a sandwich. Then I’ll go up with a mug of tea for MIL while OH comes to grab a snack. That’s become a bit of a routine too - trying not to crowd FIL and wear him out plus too many visitors is disruptive to the other patients. Food here is pretty good. Not too expensive and lots of healthy options. The cakes look nice though....
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Ah go on T'Bird! You know that you want to. I've finished repotting for today - got the rugby match later on. When I used to visit Mum in hospital I used to be amazed at the mini shopping mall that was the main entrance. The café was really good and they even had dress shops and bric-à-brac shops with a lovely selection of jewellery, bags etc. It was so unlike a hospital but nice nonetheless.

Morning everyone, Sorry not read back properly yet, will do later. But glad to hear your FIL is a little better Topbird. Hopefully SIL just has a cold and nothing worse and that MIL doesn't catch it. Still so very cold here, but at least it's stopped raining today. Forecast for more though 😭😭 I've had a cold and yet another cough all week.....although the cough never really went away completely from last time. Getting fed up with it now. Oops started this about 10.30........a friend of OH popped round and I forgot all about it 😔😔 Will get a cup of tea and read back a bit SYL😉
Good afternoon all, just girding my loins to go out partying later. Lovely trip to GC I got youngest daughter a beautiful dark magnolia soulangia nearly £50 but a good size also wallflowers and primulas for myself plantedup pots by front door hoping for a bit of scent and colour when wallflowers open. Longing to get out to do more gardening but forecast isn’t good. We saw a pair of buzzards bear GC and then a pair of herons flew overhead. Spring is definitely here.
Top bird hospital visiting is no fun is it? Have a cake you deserve it!
Hello Lily . So nice to see . Sorry to hear about your cold and cough . I hope that you don’t have it for long . Look after yourself and keep warm . Weather here has been dry all day . I managed an hour in the garden this morning also an hour this afternoon .Had to keep moving it was bitterly cold . I really enjoyed it though .
England 33-30 Wales. A good game apart from the last few minutes when Wales rallied. I have no idea when they will play Italy though as next weekend's match has been postponed. I learned yesterday that my brother-in-law will be President of the RFU in 2 years time. He is on the Board at present and has promised my sister he will only do 4 more years!
