Just stopped for coffee I did honestly intend to join working party at the allotment but the sun is shining here and my front garden looked so dreadful, it’s block paving full of weeds and moss so I decided to tidy that up first so my pots of spring pretties would look better and 2 hours later.....
LB enjoy the party! Lovely way to catch up with all the rellies!

Hello all. I've had a grand day. It was so nice being with the majority of the family and friends today at the party. A good time was had by all. The musicians were fantastic and played music of the right era - i.e. we could join in and sing if we remembered the words. Near my home there is a steep curve on the lane - about 90° and as I drove round it today I spotted a silver car - at 45° to the road in the hawthorn hedge. It honestly looked as if it was climbing the hedge. There was noone around so it had either happened last night or earlier today. The driver obviously hadn't known the road and must have been driving far too quickly. It had gone on my return. I would really like to know what was put on the insurance claim form for that one! The front of the car was mashed and the bumper was hanging off.

LB it sounds like you’ve had a lovely time and made some good memories.  I’m glad you are home safe and sound.  I’ve been watching Crufts and they are now allowing Jack Russells and there was a super one.  So many lovely pooches.  Very entertaining to watch.

Evening all - you’ve all been having fun - especially Debs & LB - party girls!

We’ve been to Hull to see FIL today. Went the scenic route - there are some very pretty villages in the Yorkshire Wolds - could easily enjoy a week not too far from Beverley and back towards York.

FIL is unchanged. No idea whether they’re actually going to do the operation they blue-lighted him over there for - he’s extremely weak. Down to the poor old consultant tomorrow.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
