Lovely pics Chive . I love raptors .Barn owls are so beautiful. We went to a falconry  centre some years ago . During a demonstration an eagle owl was sent by the falconer to fly and land next to us.We were sitting on a bench ,it landed next to me and OH .We knew these lovely creatures were very big ,but to have one alight next to you ,you get the real feel of how powerful and huge they really are . That was a wonderful experience.
  • Morning all. Cloudy here but the sky is blue with sun. My OH had a gift voucher for falconry and took about 6 months to redeem it cos he thought he wouldn't like it! The owls were silent fliers and one landed on my head. I have the photo to prove it (somewhere).

Some of my lawn got compacted under a skip and as its clay I now have an idea for a new bed for 'wet loving shrubs.

LB I hope you get something for your cough soon.  Chive lovely pictures.  I visited some owls last year and they were beautiful.  I’m glad you enjoyed your time there.  Ante wishing your sister a good journey home.

Afties all. What a busy morning I've had but enough of that for now. Chive what absolutely stunning pictures of the Barn Owl and I THINK that is a juvenile Harris Hawk. It looks very cross!
Safe journey for your sister Ante.
I got to the Doc's, was sent for an x-ray and given a prescription to use to see if that helps. When you get asked 'How are you today?' and you have to answer 'Apart from a stupid cough I'm fine', you do feel a bit of a fraud bothering the Doc. Anyway, I've had my MOT and just await the x-ray results.

LB the doctor sounds on the ball and I hope the medication helps very soon.  Chive are there any slimming E**** **s🤪  I’m trying to cut back, nothing major, just a few chips and more greens with whatever I grab from the freezer.  Although I had some trifle with Rubee yesterday.

Rosie, when you buy a biggish E****r e** they are all hollow in the middle. You can then say - 'truthfully' - that you are eating a sweet with a less fattening centre!
