It does look lovely @Bizzy-Lizzie, we'll definitely have to make a special trip if we ever go to Norfolk again.

  • @chicky @AnniD thank you both. Didn't think about NGS and both of your suggestions, Anni, are open so that gives me some options.
I always enjoy Chenies Manor. Their site says they are currently closed but to check regularly for updates.

Did my first NGS visit today to a lovely little garden in Aylesbury. The hostess was really friendly and went through her process for designing the garden 5 years ago.

I was so enamored with the garden I didn't take many pictures, was too busy enjoying it!!

    Thanks @chicky for the suggestion!

I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

Our NGS and charity gardens for local Hospital and Hospice are cancelled, last Friday I booked to go to Wakehurst Place in Ardingly today, (Kew seed bank) its 35 miles each way, blooming expensive to park, couldnt find out on the site if you could take a picnic, and it has poured all day, so cancelled this morning.  Been busy sewing instead.

Just been to another NGS garden a couple of miles south of Haslemere.  Weather was mizzly drizzly, but didn’t spoil the visit.  Lovely garden with some beautiful planting and an interesting woodland walk with some quirky sculptures that worked really well.  And the whole thing is managed by the owners (with a gardener 1 day a week) - refreshing as often these NGS places are really the work of a team of gardeners rather than the graft of ordinary people.

What a lovely thread!  I was looking forward to RHS Bridgewater opening round the corner this month, but its sadly delayed until May 2021.  The sites been back up and running for a while now though so hopefully no more delays.

I'm off work this week, and my grandma feels ready to go out to a public place for the first time since lockdown, was thinking garden centre as she loves those but if anybody can recommend a garden that's accessible for someone with visual impairment and limited mobility in the North West I'd be very grateful!

@FlyDragon, there are various NGS gardens, have a look here to see if there's anything suitable. They may well be others listed at the start of next week.
