Much tidier than mine @chicky and only half a mile away from me. I wonder if all those plants are deer proof? :)

@FlyDragon, there are various NGS gardens, have a look here to see if there's anything suitable. They may well be others listed at the start of next week.

Thank you, I'll have a look at those, she's just been on the phone and mentioned wanting to go to Fryer's though so that might be our first stop!

@steephill They are deer fenced, but apparently the muntjacs still manage to get in 🤬

I'm booked to visit Wisley on Thursday morning, thanks to my shiny new RHS membership. Is there anything anyone advises as a must see?
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

All of it @London_to_Latimer 🤣🤣🤣.  However things I would have on my must see list are - herbaceous borders, cottage garden and exotic garden (all next door to each other) the rockery/mountainside, the veg garden and the borders round the glasshouse (the pair called the glasshouse borders, but also the others surrounding it).  Enjoy 😊

@chicky we saw the herbaceous borders (the loooong walk up the hill, right?), Cottage garden, herb and fruit gardens and the exotic. Also ended up at the trials area and walking through the woods.

And the shop!! Had to put some ferns bank when I realised how much the bill was about to come to!!

All in all a great day. Went in at opening time and had to leave at 2pm to get back for school run but can't wait to go back.

Our favourite flower of the day Dahlia "Karma Choc"

These Eucalyptus left us open mouthed! The trunks were just super beautiful!

This was one of the more relatable bits for me, a container selection in the trial area, all the plants were winners in the previous year (the sweet peas were planted in the ground so a bit of a cheat there!)

I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

Visited another NGS garden today - idyllic thatched cottage with a beautiful cottage garden to match 😀

Sussex Prairie Gardens.  Great that there are paths that allow you to walk through the planting

Not a 'garden' as such but well worth checking out if you're in Sheffield, the 'Grey to Green' sustainable drainage project.

    Echinacea pallida

    Eupatorium cannabinum 'Flore Pleno'

    Eupatorium cannabinum

    Dianthus carthusianorum
