It's in every room @Papi Jo and also at the farmer neighbours and their's goes back way before the 70s.   I quite like it but want to tone down the colour a bit.

Ceiling done.  It's pine tongue and groove - a Vendée thing apparently - and is a pig to paint cos it has to be brushed, not rollered on

I initially read that as "pink tongue and groove"!

It rained in the night, so the new plants I planted yesterday will be well watered in.

I know that Belgian tree.  It's only 15k from our old house.

2nd coat on ceiling has dried well, thank goodness - my neck and shoulders hate painting ceilings - so I can start on the walls today.  Gardening or crafting this pm.

He couldn't have picked a more perfect day to leave me........March 1st a beautiful sunny day, the promise of longer brighter days to come.  The doctor said 12 months, he fought hard and lasted 14 months.  The last 4 weeks were the worst, but I get consolation that he is no longer frightened,  struggling to live his life, walk the dogs, dig and redig the garden etc.  Time now to start planting seeds and do all the usual gardening jobs, will take me a bit longer, but I am so happy tthat  I have this hobby which gives so much satisfaction and pleasure.

I'm so very sorry @Mary370.   I hope your garden brings you solace as well.
