My daughter's cleaning my very large front windows for me, a job I hate doing.

This seems more like curmudgeons corner these days. Well, have just had a lovelly walk with Hubby and dogs, for 90 minuts, around the streets, nosing at other peoples' gardens.  It's sunny and windy, doing the washing.  I didn't bother forcast on BBC TV said rain, nope, no rain.

I could feel curmudgeonly about this incident but view it as somebody being caring.  I was in M&S today second in the queue to pay.  An elderly lady was paying and the guy on the till asked her how she was.  Possibly a mistake as for nearly 5 minutes she went on to explain how she was coping, who she had been speaking to etc.  He tried several times to bring the conversation to an end but it only ended when she was out of story (or puff).  He apologised to me for the wait, but I just felt he was doing his best to be pleasant to everybody.  He might avoid asking that question for a while though. :D

A very happy day in the Wilderbeast household our bathroom window that's been nearly 5 months in the making 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏. My local guys had to out source this due the odd shape, it's an obtuse triangle with no 90° corner. They have always been a great company and have been so amazing in getting this over the line. I'm so happy 😃😃😃

My absolute favourite gardening series ever - Life in a Cottage Garden, with Carol Klein - is being repeated on Sunday mornings. I had it recorded from a few years ago and have watched it countless times, but last month we had to replace our hard disk recorder and the series was on the old one. I was feeling a bit bereft, but then it popped up again last Sunday. It has made me very happy indeed

Same here, @punkdoc. It's my therapy. I actually avoided getting the HD recorder sorted for *ages* so that I didn't lose it!
