RTBC - the sneering press and TV reporters who claimed there was no way the target of 100,000 Covid19 tests per day could be achieved have been proved wrong.  I'm waiting for the apologies, but won't hold my breath.
Whether or not the target itself was meaningful or not is another matter.

"tested or had home test kits send to them" not quite hitting target in my book.

I wonder if anyone is going to explain why the UK has had roughly 10% of all the Covid related deaths worldwide.

Perhaps it's because we live in a very small overcrowded island?

Or maybe other countries have simply handled it far better?

Yes, that well may be but we won't know until after the inevitable enquiry afterwards.
It may be a combination of the two. I actually think we have done the best we could in the circumstances.

You're quite right @Hostafan1, I'd forgotten those stats which I had seen before. Hopefully we'll now keep more of our critical beds.
We're on the wrong thread though, not cheerful enough!

Mercifully we live in a country where we are free to criticise our governments of whatever political persuasion.
    I'm very cheerful about that.

To get to 100,000 they were chucking testing kits through car windows and telling people to do it themselves. To what purpose?
    In London. Keen but lazy.
