  • @Busy-Lizzie that sounds delicious and just what I would do ... if you have access to a larding needle and some pork back fat I’d also get some fat into it as wild venison is going to be very lean ... but if you don’t I’m sure it’ll be fine cooked just as you describe. What time did you say you’ll be serving it? šŸ˜‰Ā

@Liriodendron that is gorgeous ... OH will be fascinated when I show him ... don’t want to disturb him at the moment ... he’s washing up šŸ‘ 🄰

That’s beautiful, and strangely mesmerising @Liriodendron. Ā Ma Nature is such a great artist.

on my way home - great evening. Ā Really interesting to hear how PO’s career began (almost by accident) and to see how his garden design has progressed over the years. Ā Plus, a very modest man, who doesn’t seem to realise what a legend he is šŸ˜€
  • Glad you had a good evening @chicky  😊

    Night night all .... šŸ›Ā

Hubby has comehome early (10am) instead of 6pm. There has been so much rain on the fire grounds that driving trucks on them would tear up the tracks too much, so they’ve been called off for now. No rain in our valley yet.

After a shower and change of clothes, he’s asleep on the lounge at 11am😳

I keep telling him that it’s too much for him, but he won’t admit defeat.Ā

Hello @Pat E.Ā  I'm awake tho very tired.Ā  It must be a relief to have some rain on that fire even if it hasn't made it all the way to your immediate area.Ā  I can well understand your OH feeling driven to do his bit given all his experience, just as I can understand your worries that he's over doing things.Ā  Let's hope it's soon over for both of you.

    Hugs to both.

Hope you got some sleep @Obelixx   😊
We have a bit of a frost here in Norfolk ... but I think that’ll soon disappear ... apparently we had fog overnight but there’s none now and the sky is a milky blue.Ā
