Is Hotmail face to face, I don’t remember that?

  • My email account is a Hotmail one ... I know it’s been absorbed into Outlook/Microsoft but I get an efficient service, my emails aren’t scanned in order to send me pop ups ads etc. and it’s free ... works for me 😊

My email is still from AOL ( who remembers them? ) . They don't charge me and I can ignore the rubbish on their home page.

Good morning - just.   It's a damp grey day so I've been reading and then tidying for a good clean which will leave me free to play outside tomorrow if it's dry.

Well done on the rainfall @Pat E.  That must be such a relief for you all tho I hope you've had more by now.  It's only a quarter inch!

Hope you have  a lovely trip @chicky and well done grandpa!

I do a lot of chatting vie email - daily with a group of old friends from the old GW boards and more infrequently with other old friends and some new.  It's also the best way to share lots of info with the patchwork club gang, new gardening and mosaic friends and English cooking at the lycée.   I use messenger on FB with Possum cos she prefers it but I find it limiting and fussy.   Stupid mobile so no fancy apps.   Don't need 'em.

Quite agree about that Huawei stuff @Hostafan1 .  Dreadful decision.   Ethical consumerism is one of the best ways to improve life and nobody should be supporting totalitarian or otherwise abusive regimes, let alone ones that want to spy and interfere.

I neither trust our government to put adequate checks and blocks in place to stop China "spying" nor the Chinese Government NOT to go spying , no matter if they say they won't.

Afternoon. Tyres done - price not too bad - I always feel a bit safer with new grippy tyres. Went to a local animal shelter/farm earlier. Standard fund-raiser with home-made cakes etc. I was talking to lady who is 90 this year, and she had baked a lemon drizzle cake and bread pudding for the event plus she was selling her homemade jams. What a star. They had a little nursery/garden that they stock with just cuttings and donated bits and bobs. They don’t have many volunteers and it was crying out for a sort-out. I found a neglected tray of pots with mini daffodils coming up so I suggested they should bring out and sell them outside the little tea room - probably make them enough to feed all the cats and dogs there for a week.

No comments on the rugby required please.

Hope you are all doing ok. Wonder what time that storm will kick off?

What rugby?   OH watches but not me.   Not for the last 20 or more years anyway.

Luckily I rang son before it started, I hadn't a clue what match was when.

I've been preparing veg for tomorrow's lunch party as we'll be at church.

OH has been mowing, grass is lush and green, a rare sight. It has enjoyed the rain and the mild weather.

    Head still hurts.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
