    Hi all

Flood waters receding, but lawn and beds still a lake, not sure I will be doing much outside for a long time.
Amazingly no damage to G/H, grateful for small mercies.
Moira woke me at 4.30, off to catch her train, just heard that she is now stuck in the middle of nowhere. I told her not to go, but what do I know?Ā

    Hi @punkdoc ... hope Moira’s ok, wherever she is.Ā

There’s Ā a London-based couple sounding off in our local press today ... they visited Norwich on Saturday for a party and were unable to get back yesterday because the trains were cancelled due to fallen trees etc. Apparently why did no one warn them that their particular route was going to be affected Ā .... and if the trains were cancelled why weren’t they running replacement buses?Ā

Do trees not fall across roads ?!?!?! Ā šŸ™„ 😔

And who wants to drive a bus in the winds we had yesterday??? Ā It wouldn’t be safe. 🤬

I think that the warnings were excellent. We knew exactly what to expect, and when to expect it.
What staggers me, is the stupid risks that some people were taking, when driving through floods, at high speed. As for the guy that had to be rescued whilst surfing, he should be locked up.

They should have a bill sent to them for lifeboats or whoever went to rescue him.

i didn’t realise that my daughter drove up to Oxford for grandsons exams, it took her 5.5 hours to get home, she stuck to the A303 didn’t want to chance the motorway, but no trees down until she got to Cornwall.Ā

The good news was that he loved it so another option for him.Ā

My eyes are so swollen this morning, can hardly see out of the right one. Going to the Doc at lunchtime.

A night of torrential rain and driving winds and not a lot of sleep. V grumpy.Ā

Well, all my customers received their deliveries in their allotted time slots and many were very surprised to see me.Ā

A fair few trees down and lots of " bits " all over the place.
