  • Son has been contacted by his GP asking him to collect a couple of months’ worth of his regular prescription meds ... they’re largely a rural practice and want to free up GPs and nurses to do home visits to the sick elderly if Coronavirus spreads. Seems sensible.

Had a long lay-in this morning thanks @Dovefromabove. Still feeling tired so taking it easy. Postponed SM run until tomorrow. It's a chilly wind outside but sunny.
Commiserations to those having to work outside and/or flooded.  I hear yet another storm is coming. Hope your horse is getting better @Busy-Lizzie.

    Evening.
    Hope everyone is doing ok.

Had a ‘leftovers’ tea - bubble and squeak from the sausage, mash and root mash supper of yesterday. A quick meal but very tasty and extra points for not wasting food = win.

Challenging times in work this week, so will be extremely pleased when my week off starts at 5pm tomorrow.

  • First volunteer day of the season at Capel Manor today. Went late as we had snow from 8-10am but it didn't settle-Phew. A nice easy day in heated propagation greenhouse labelling plants for the sales centre in readiness for their first opening of the season at the weekend.

  • Sounds as if everyone’s had a busy day, one way or another.

    Sweet dreams everyone 😮

I've had to get my own coffee cos OH was up and out very early to go and play golf at the coast at the top end of the Vendée.   It's raining but a gentle, heavy drizzle.    Windy and wetter later.

Definitely a day for indoor jobs and play.

Hi Dove. Lovely autumn-like day, and the idiots on TV say it will be autumn on 1st, I still hold to the change being on 21st or 22nd.  Can’t tell them though.

  • Morning @Obelixx ... I’ll also be finding things to do indoors (again).

One job this morning will be prepping aubergine parmigiana and some crusty rolls for supper.
