@Chicky, saw pictures of Welford Park snowdrops in the paper yesterday so may go there later in the week (between Newbury/Wantage) which may be nearer to you. It's not National Trust though.

We went to Welford a couple of years ago - it is spectacular. Ā Never seen anything like it. Ā Would strongly recommend getting there if you can šŸ‘šŸ»

    Lovely snowdrop photo @chicky

The rain stopped so I managed an hour and ten minutes in the garden clearing up the end bed.

Busy-Lizzie, hi. I’m glad you found the jigsaws. They’re a good time waster .Ā

Lizzie, yes the fires are horrible. We are so sick of the constant worry of whether they reach us or not. Also sick and tired of hanging around in the house because its too hot for me to work outside. Ā This morning’s weather show told us we’re going to get 100mm rain over the weekend. Yeah, I’ll believe that when I see it. However this morning, I’ve put a cardigan on. Just a bit cool.Ā

Ps. Chicky don’t forget to pack your rain coat when you visit oz. šŸ˜‚ crazy weather. Ā Love your photos. Especially the snow drops and Crocuses. I used to grow that Black Bamboo here, but haven’t seen it since we moved back here from Melbourne 11 years ago, so I assume it went the way of most plants with our low rainfall.Ā

Hope you all have a good sleep.

Coat and a couple of jumpers are packed @Pat E .....we have been warned that Tasmania in particular might be cool.  Although still much warmer than here 🄶.  Its funny packing for a hot holiday when you are cold ......keep having to resist the temptation to throw in woolly hats, scarves and gloves 🧤🧣, just in cases.

Off down to Dad’s today. Ā More podcasts at the ready.

Forecast here is full sun too @Busy-Lizzie and the clouds are clearing and thinning.Ā  Ā Still far too wet and claggy here for weeding tho I'm itching to get going.Ā  Even in the best parts our soil has a heavy clay content and is claggy and the stuff where we have volcanic wotsits is just horrid despite being mulched each year.Ā  More needed obviously.

Pussies are due for annual check-ups and jabs this pm so need to stay clean for that anyway.
