We didn't either Busy-Lizzie. The River Avon had burst its banks and flooded the fields either side when we went to the GC this morning - I thought I was seeing things, it looked like a new lake had appeared overnight!

Afternoon all. The improved weather today (few showers but mainly dry with some sun) showed a glimpse Spring and the light was extended way past 4pm today - which gave a real boost.
I have done a few jobs for my Dad, some HW bits and then assisted in power-washing the drive. The driveway was becoming a tad discoloured and slippy - must be the result of relentless rain and mild temps, as never known it so bad. The back patio is the same, so will need a good clean before I start regularly venturing outside.

Hope all ok with you guys.

    good evening.
I spent a couple of hours in the polytunnel potting on water lilies. Nice to see new growth coming through.

Pleased you got outside and had a break from household duties, a day in a poly tunnel would suit me just fine.

Good news from Wonky ... her Lovely Hub has bought himself a lovely new (well, Pre-loved) shiny car ...  😀 🤞

Galette du Roi "tea" not as calorific as expected.  Only two galettes served with clementines in a cinnamon flavoured syrup and some ice cream.    Champagne to go with as they've just welcomed their first grandson to the world.  Nice people but all golfers...........

I have posted a recipe for one of the best I have tasted - made by a friend whose parents had a bakery/pâtisserie in Les Sables d'Olonne and whose brother still does.  It's on the Favourite Recipes thread.

Drove there in the new Harry.   Smaller, lighter, not as many fancy bits but easy to drive.  He'll do.

Good that Wonky's OH has found a new one so soon.
