You need to go to a proper baker @Busy-Lizzie. Endless discussions amongst my Vendéen friends about whose is best. There's one near our dance class that does fabulous wild blueberry versions along with a lighter frangipane one laced with crème pat.

I’ve been out and topped up the bird feeders ... it’s so wet and soggy out there ... that’s enough ‘outdoors’ for me today. I shall have a banana 🍌 and ☕️ and read a book.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Me too, no good making other plans, I’m just grateful for what does grow here, can’t be too choosy and I love a riot of colour in the late summer and autumn.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
Nor in Victoria, Oz. Heavy rain and hail and supposedly spreading to some of the areas hit by the bush fires but so heavy there is now risk of flooding. Can't win.

Just had a lovely lunch with a friend at one of our local independent GC's, a ham, cheese and pineapple toastie (mine) and toasted teacake for her. Had a good natter and catch up and then looked at all the bulbs in pots they had, the Xmas knick-knacks on sale and eventually just bought some ericacious compost and Hort.grit. I don't need any more Spring bulbs, loads are coming up in my garden right now. Was quite tempted by some double primulas though. We've had sunshine all day too and it felt quite Spring-like.
Good news about the rain in Victoria @Obelixx. I like the sound of that cake/pastry, does the name translate roughly to 'cake of the King'?
It's good to get outside @punkdoc, even if it's only a quick walk round to count the snowdrops clumps coming up. I think my witch hazel is starting to bloom as well, the bright orange one - must go and check.
I hadn't realised it had rained so much in the night, huge puddles everywhere. We went to Morrisons, had lunch in a pub then went to get a new tyre for the car. It had new tyres earlier this year but a nail had gone into the shoulder of a back one. It now has a more expensive but guaranteed tyre.
After unpacking the shopping I went for a walk.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

The dreary weather continues, but my brain is telling me to get outside and do something.

There's a shiny thing up in the sky.
I think my brain is telling me the same as @punkdoc's

I am so excited, I had forgotten what it looked like.
