I've stopped looking at soshull meeja. I don't really want to know where slight acquaintances are having  dinner. To be honest,I never really got into it and rarely posted anyway. I prefer the anonymity of forums such as this. It is a bit disconcerting when you discover you have the gender of a member wrong ,though.

I used FB for sharing videos of dance figures in private groups with club members when we lived in Belgium and these days I use it for private chats with Possum and occasionally to share a post about the environment, bees, political idiocies but never where I am or what I'm doing or with whom.

Who've you got wrong now @B3?

Not sure. That's one of the good things thing about anonymity😉

I’ve done that, mistaken identity,  the only way you can tell for sure is if you start a gender politics thread, you can always tell the ladies then.😀

That used to work when there were only 2 genders.  Not so straight forward any more.

Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat?   The ones that tend to be mindless and/or ego feeding?   "Look how many followers I have" sort of thing.

That's how I would define the potentially problematic social media platforms too.

Just keeping the dog company until the fireworks stop and then I can go to bed. At least none of them have woken the kids up yet. I can see Chinese lanterns being sent up too. I thought those were illegal now but apparently not.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Grandson is raising money from the Dogs Trust by doing a digital detox for the whole of January. He's only 11 but addicted, especially to something called Fortnite - wonder how he's managed today!

My daughter banned hers from Fortnite, it is addictive so no more in their house.
