    Research would indicate that around Christmas and New Year, the body requires more calories to remain upright. Therefore, it is vital that sufficient calories are consumed. Fatty, salty or sugary foods are particularly beneficial.

    There has also been some interesting research on this aspect.  People who eat on trains or buses are being actively recruited to assist.

    My whinge of the week is that every food shop in town has sold out of marzipan, so I have none to put in my panettone and butter pudding.
