Apart from Harry, they all seem more than slightly robotic to me. Note the waving arms.
I'm minded of the Stepford Wives.

Good luck to him on his escape.

I did here the term "Megxit" so it's clear who the press are blaming.

I hope I’m not around to see the demise of our Royal Family but then I suppose I’m a traditionalist in Ā a lot of ways.
I don't want to see it gone, but clearly , in its current form , it's unsustainable.Ā

Clear out the hangers on, cut it down to a more sensible size, much as many European Royal Families have done. They're not saints , they shouldn't be on pedestals and I'm sure they're the first to admit that.

I may be slightly unusual in being a Royalist [ with certain provisos ] and also a socialist. I believed that Harry and Megan would bring positive benefits to the "firm", in part due to them being a mixed race couple, and I think there is some evidence that this is true.
I think that the GB Press have done their utmost to cause trouble from the outset, and that this has been a race hatred issue.

I think it’s unlikely that an American could have the foggiest about the implications of joining the royal family ... particularly when the nasty insidious racism of certain sections of the UK press are taken into account. I’m not much of a royal watcher, but I’ve come across some vile stuff Ā online from sections of the British public targeting the Duchess ... particularly after the referendum and around the recent general election.Ā
    I don’t think it’s the ā€˜job’ they’re complaining about ... it’s the nastiness in the media.

Me too - she's not afraid of the work or being in the public eye but the British tabloids are a force for bad which she had underestimated and has, quite reasonably, decided to do without tho I can't see the tabloids leaving them alone now.Ā  Did anyone else see Question Time last night?Ā  Not one member of that audience thought they were wrong to withdraw.

Agree with @punkdoc - good to have some new blood and the energy of this young couple in "the firm".Ā  Ā I hope it turns out well for them.Ā  Good to see the other senior royals are now galvanised into action.Ā Ā

I also think that Meghan is emotionally intelligent enough to recognise the damage that was done to Harry and the long lasting effect it has had on him. Ā Becoming a parent is likely to have awoken all sorts of emotions for him, and as well as him wanting to protect his wife and child, Meghan wants to protect Harry.Ā

Totally agree.Ā  For their own health I think getting away from the British press - and much of the TV coverage as well, can only be positive.Ā  I see Pierce Morgan is on hit high horse again.Ā  He's still sulking because he didn't actually get into the inner circle despite knowing Meghan before she met Harry.

I also broadly support the Monarchy, and agree that it needs slimming down despite many of the minor royals having been kicked into touch over the past years.Ā  Can you imagine the alternative when you look at leading politicians over the past decades and how they would have been as President instead of Prime Minister?

Piers Morgan is one of the most loathsome individuals I’m aware of on this planet.Ā

It seems to me that Meghan has also been very sensible to leave Harry to come to an agreement with the Royal Family ... that way the arrangements can be seen to be down to him and not due to her fortune-hunting as the garbage press would have it.Ā

They’ve been trying to make her into Wallis Simpson ever since she appeared on the scene.Ā
