    Can you protect the greenhouse?

I'm thinking about it. It won't be long before the boys are chucking stuff around the garden and it'll need something to stop the glass getting broken anyway. At my previous house it had another frame about a foot away from the glass with chicken wire attached to it. It was too rusty to bother moving with the greenhouse though. I'd like something a bit less ugly and easier to move when the glass needs cleaning though.

My wife is steaming a batch of veg for baby food this evening and I've been steam cleaning the carpets due to another minor dog accident. The atmosphere is so thick in the house you could cut it with a knife. At least the plants won't need misting for a few days.

Did anyone else get a blue screen warning today that they should throw away their computer and buy a new one to run Windows 10?

Back in the early 90s the roof of our new shed took off and landed in the garden two houses away.  I phoned the shed manufacturer, who had also installed the shed, pretending to be a potential purchaser asking how the roof was attached.  Multiple fixing points apparently, but his attitude changed when I asked him how my shed roof and blown off.  "Well it stayed on OK until now didn't it?"  was his initial reply although he did eventually agree that his men would collect it from the adjoining garden, refix and refelt.

If only it was that simple.  I suspect many computers which run Windows 7 very happily wouldn't be able to run Windows 10.

It was all over the news this morning @wild edges.  Microsoft will no longer update Windows 7 which leaves it wide open to hackers to find holes which won't be patched so you just have to be sure never to do any financial transactions or store important info on systems with Windows 7.

I have Windows 7 and have known for a while that this would happen. Apparently I cannot put Windows 10 on my laptop as it doesn't have the right drivers? - don't know much about this technical stuff, so I will have to by a new one sometime. In the meantime OH will have to do the internet banking etc on his ipad.

I rang to arrange a parcel collection yesterday. They booked me in for a 9am slot with the proviso that it might actually be 1am by the time the driver got to me. He's just been at nearly 3pm. :|

Ratty has been getting his own back because I've been removing the bird feeders at night.  Last night we were woken at 2 and 4 am by rats in the loft above our bedroom, apparently tap dancing...  we need the builders to finish the "join" between the extension, still open to rodents on one side, and the bungalow, asap.
