I've been over the road to see my cat sitter and he 'forced' me to have a New Year drink with him. His daughter was there so we put the bit of the world to rights that my Bestie and I missed.
Ante, my dekkies don't come down until then either - its bad luck! I love the Harry Potter films and watch them EVERY time they are on. A Pottermaniac I know but I make no apology.
I am recording Dracula to binge watch at a later date. I have been a lifelong Dracula fanatic.
Chey, lovely news about the ex-carers. Cherish them.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Off to bed in a minute but just popped in to say Congratulations to Debs - great news.
I’m also quite enjoying Dracula. Definitely not Hammer House of Horror and a tad more gruesome that the old heaving bosoms and ‘mata sauce - but quite entertaining in a different way.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Thanks LB. I’m sure there will be much reminiscing. My friend and I bonded over missing name tags on our first day at Big School - so I’ve known her and her family for over 50 years. I’m sure it will be a happy day tinged with sadness.
Morning everyone as you arrive. It’s a bit of a mucky day out there....

Chey, I'm sure you gave your food bearing visitors a very warm welcome. It's comforting to be looked after.
T'bird, re travel insurance, just wait until you hit the 70 year mark. Hope your journeys are not too bad tomorrow and Saturday.
