Afties all. Good rellie day and middle brother loved his new gilet (thank goodness it fitted him too) with all the numerous pockets for 'stuff' such as clean poo bags when he walks the dog. 'sco wasn't too demanding and I got all the necessaries including cat food and washing up liquid. Vital for the smooth running of my household. Joyce, I have been meaning to say for AGES that I thought of you every time I saw the cat riding around on the Roomba (other vacuum cleaners are available). Class that. I'm not sure whether Lily would have taken to that.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
I noticed the (marginally!) lighter late afternoons on Friday. It had been a lovely sunny day in Surrey and was still light as we walked back to the car at about half past four - that lovely pinky, purply, orangey light you only really get in winter. Beautiful🙂
LB - all this talk of washing up liquid and cleaning windows... Is Col TT suffering post-holiday fatigue or something?? 🤨
(Glad you had a good day and the pressie was a hit!)
Need stuff to look forward to in January so we've been planning our trips away for this year. Germany seems to feature very heavily again and we'll be off for the first one in just over 3 weeks. OH wants to go skiing in Bavaria so I'll enjoy the journey, the scenery and take my paints (not Dulux!), good books and an assortment of films / TV progs on the iPad to occupy my time. Sounds like a lazy week for me! Looking forward to getting back in the saunas and steam rooms😎
Pansy - poor ickle buzzy flies destined to become a cat's toy and dinner😁 Does Elsa play with things - or is that (yet another) foreign land for her?
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Pansy, there's no definitive recipe for masala chai as you can go lighter/heavier on the ingredients according to personal taste. For two cups I used 6 cardamum, 1 cinnamon stick, 1 inch of ginger root, (I like ginger) two cloves (not too keen on the flavour) and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper Twinings breakfast tea (it's fairly strong).
PF, I just slit the coating of the cardamum. You are meant to boil the milk up with the ingredients but I HATE hot milk so added cold milk. Let it sit for a few minutes before drinking.
Happy Birthdayto Kitty and LBs middle brother 🌺. Hope both had a good day. Chive put your feet up for the evening. LB the gilet was a good idea and well received. Joyce I’ll have to give that a try. Thank you. Topbird you’ll be excited to be off on jollies soon.

Joyce, thanks for recipe. I only need to buy ginger root. I like milk, hot or cold, doesn't matter.
How was your day Chive?
