  • Don’t beat it ... put it in the fridge to chill ... that should stiffen it up 🤞

Hope the wood delivery arrived chez hosta. Glad Mr Dove is feeling better. Can't offer any advice on BL's culinary tribulations - my own 'cooking' is far too approximate.
Winterval greetings to everyone else. No cabin fever here as we got out for a long, very muddy underfoot but not too rainy walk yesterday. I think it might actually be dry today, but I've been busy doing I'm not quite sure what.

So glad you’ve got logs, at least you can have the log stove and leaves the doors open, they seem to warm all the house through.

Karen and family went home about 3.30 today, very quiet without the boys.  Still, good to get back to normal.

Ive put on 3lbs since Christmas Day, that’s some pig!!

Hello folks, glad Xmas is over (although enjoyable) and we're out on the other side. Daughter went home yesterday and son arrived this morning (Bath Rugby is playing - funny coincidence that!). I've promised to pick him up later after he's had a few beers with a mate.

I'm amazed that I've lost weight these last 3 days despite eating and drinking more than usual. Yippee, another 3 boxes of chocs to go.

We've also got snowdrops in bud - they're having a daily inspection. Not such good news, a big rat has been seen near the house. Bait has been laid.

Pleased that folks are recovering, Hosta's got warmth but worried about Pat E and the ongoing fire nightmare out in Oz.

The salmon paté is now salmon mousse set with gelatine. The custard is OK now it's been in the fridge.

    Glad the logs came, Hosta.

  • Sounds just fine @Busy-Lizzie 😀

  • Good morning all  😊 ☕️
@Pat E I do think the mayor of Sydney is a tad insensitive, if not downright bonkers, to go ahead with the new year fireworks ... I know that she’s probably thinking of the much needed tourism income, but surely most tourists have decided to cross Sydney off their travel list for the moment ?  The lack of tourism does seem to be  worrying Australia  ... we’ve suddenly got Kylie Minogue popping up in every tv ad break telling us to visit Australia.

OH says he is back to normal and will be going to work in a bit ... I’ve said I’ll drive him and pick him up this afternoon rather than him cycling as usual. Seems sensible to me. 😊

Am I the only person to notice how "white" those adverts are?
    Hugs to OH @Dovefromabove
