Fingers crossed for the hospital @Hostafan1 - hope you got some sleep.

Up at silly o’clock here as littlest chicklet is working today, and we have let the tax and insurance on the car she uses expire ( no point in keeping it going for 2 weeks use in a year).  So that means I am duty driver 🚙🚗🚕
  • Good morning both of you 😊 ☕️

Good luck @Hostafan1 and Lovely Hubby too, hope both procedures go well and give the results you want/need xx

  • Hmmm .. Today was the day scheduled to decorate the house (it being the day after OH's birthday) but the Christmas Box is out of my reach following the Big Tidy in the garage and I am forbidden to clamber 'with your knee' when OH is not here ... as he is working today he will retrieve The Box this evening ... the tasks scheduled for tomorrow do not lend themselves to being done today so it looks as if I have nothing much to do today and an extra busy day tomorrow rolleyes lol

thinking of you Hosta and Hubby

One of the downsides of having had a really busy week at work this week is I ended up doing the last SM shop before Christmas today. I went as early as I could manage and still it was insane. I got the last parking space in the car park.
Popped in to the village on the way back to get the stuff I know I can get there - it is so much more civilised. Luckily, it's only store cupboard stuff that needs an SM trip - we can get by shopping in the village for the next couple of weeks :)

Drinking a nice restorative cup of cinnamon tea now, before I tackle the job of unpacking the bags. Then I think I may put my feet up for the afternoon. I've got a cake and some bread to make, but OH made mince pies yesterday and there's a loaf in the freezer so that can wait a day or two.

We've had so much rain. Sorry Pat - I feel bad whining about it - but it's beyond ridiculous now.

I'm much the same Dove, I had wanted to cut down a big smoke bush today but it's raining again so crossed that off the list. I could put up the cards and decorations I suppose but need the tree out of the loft - which I can't do. Ho hum ..!

We're cut off from civilisation! Landslide at Guildford has blocked the railway. Not that I was going anywhere near civilisation at this time of year though, far too crowded.

Very wet and windy night here with trees down on roads and local flooding in some areas.  Set to be even worse tomorrow so I suspect we will not tarry at Nantes Xmas market once we've picked up Possum.  They are closing all parks and gardens and quite a few other regional Xmas markets for safety from expected wind speeds.

We've been and done the big shop.   It was not insane or even particularly busy.  Like the Belgians, the French have a serious family feast on Xmas Eve then rest and digest and go for a walk on Xmas Day and then back to work on Boxing Day.  I do not want to be anywhere shops on Xmas Eve.

Tree decs and cleaning upstairs this pm.  Cleaning downstairs tomorrow once I've finished making a mess with all the other Xmas stuff.

Hope all has gone well @Hostafan1 and anyone else having medical stuff done.

Have fun all those with decorations and feasts to prepare and plan.
