Evening. After yesterday’s awful weather, it was dry and calm today.
Did a bit of shopping - still a few pressies left to buy (after deciding what to buy) - I think many will be having a bottle of something.

Hope all ailments are subsiding and worries are not too heavy.

Good evening.  Exhausted Obxx.  Howling winds and rain all night so slept badly.  Up early to to go to an all day patch club session which involved lunch together and Dary has decided a good way to divest herself of her dear departed husband's cellar is to bring the booze for our lunches.   Sweet wine for apéro is very French.  Lots of tasy nibbles and desserts to share and our own picnic lunch.  Lots of laughter.

Mosaic class after that and then home for a quick pasta dinner and I shall be off to bed for an early night.

Good that OH got your shed back @Dovefromabove.  I hope everyone else with wind damage is OK and gets fixes done soon and no more damage.   It was lovely and sunny and calm all day here but doesn't look so good for the next 10 days.

Over the hills and far away.....

Our view at 8.15 am this morning - not a shed in sight!  Glad you got yours back @Dovefromabove

  • Lovely pic @Lizzie27 😊

We've already got one fence chap coming at the weekend and have had emails from others which I’ll reply to in the morning.
Neighbour had emailed in reply to my note just informing him of our intentions and is perfectly fine.
Now I’ve been sent to bed so that OH can watch some tv without being deafened by coughing 😒
Night night all ... sweet dreams ...

Morning @Dovefromabove - hope the cold is a bit better today.  Morning all other peeps yet to arrive 😀

Had fun gardening yesterday, working in the greenhouses.  Lots of pot moving (one house to another), sweeping, gravel raking and general tidying.  Was very pleased with the pristine glasshouse I left behind 😍

Off to Oxford for a Christmas-sy day.  Youngest niece is at Uni there, so we are all meeting up.  Weather looks grim, which is a shame......might need many coffee breaks ☔️
  • Enjoy the coffee breaks @chicky ... compulsory cakes and pastries too of course ... got to keep your strength up 👍
As for this cold ... it’s very boring now 🥱😷 🤧😠

    Morning all/aftiesPat if you're around  :)
Pain about your shed @Dovefromabove.  I don't think we've had much damage around here, although today is worse than the weekend was. Little greenhouseis well shackled to the wall though.
The folk with the dodgy fence further along had it replaced completely last year, so we haven't seen any of it flying around since then  ;)
Yesterday was lovely - bit slippy when I was out with a bit of frost/ice. Nice to see a bit of blue sky again, albeit short lived.
Glad you've had a productive outing @chicky. Enjoy your day today  :)
That r*ddy spammer is back if anyone fancies flagging. I've done the links on the spam thread.
