    It is a lovely place LB . 
    TBird here is a pic of a pic of my great great grans pub .Not very far from Whitelocks . I think I could have posted this before .

    The Rose and Crown was pulled down in the early nineteen hundreds, as was The Turks Head  that was opposite my g g grans pub .

    I wish the people were a bit clearer LB .It would have been nice to see if they were recognisable. I have a few pics of the family around that time .

    Yes Whitelocks  is still there MU and still drawing in the people . It is another of the pubs that are still with there original architecture.

    Celandines! - yup those are the little blighters. Can never get the word ‘aconites’ out of my head when I’m thinking of them and aconites are a whole lot classier. 

    Found lots of bulbs popping their heads through while I was out there.

    Rubee - how lovely to have a photo of you gg grandmother’s pub. I think Whitelocks is in Turks Head Yard. Presumably either the pub was named after the yard or vicky verky?

    Yes Whitelocks  is in Turks Head Yard TBird . I think the yard will have been named after the pub TBird . Somewhere down the yard is a bit of the original sign left .

    Topbird I had lunch in the restaurant in Whitelock's with my parents when I was in my 20s.
