I had it last week and the week before ... didn’t you read my non stop whinging about it 😂 an absolutely rotten cough too, which is lingering, and it was rounded off by a couple of days of ‘unpredictable innards’ 😳. Take it easy 😷

Trains are making me very grumpy but I don't feel it's curmudgeonliness. They are appalling. I've been to London 5 times in the last 4 weeks (there and back in the day each time) and on every single one I've had a delay of at least 15 minutes in one direction or the other. On the upside, it's now very easy to claim compensation. But these are brand new trains - the very least they should be is reliable. Heaven knows they are not an improvement as far as comfort goes. But for 3 out of the 5, the delay has been caused by a train fault.
What made me curmudgeonly this week was Mary Berry and royals making a cookery programme. I'm sure it's all very lovely, but 3 things about it annoyed me: royals, a cookery programme and being informed by the BBC that it was a treat.

Roads aren't much better. I had to take a quick trip out yesterday and hit 3 pointless sets of roadworks with traffic lights and long delays but no one working. Then got stuck in a queue of rubberneckers on the M4. There were several police cars parked on the hard shoulder around an abandoned motorbike while a helicopter hovered above. The whole journey took over twice as long as it would on a 'normal' day and it wasn't even rush hour. The road upgrades on the other route have been extended for another year too.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
Horrible journey along M4 into Wales, OH want to see his daughter when she had her baby, I refused to go don’t like his driving and wasn’t going to drive myself. Best bit was, she came down here to visit a week later.

Just walked the dog around the neighbourhood and dropped some cards off to people. I don't normally send cards but we've got some new neighbours and exchanging Christmas cards are the only way I remember their names Anyway on one dark section of road the recycling crew had left the base of a broken wine glass sat on the pavement with a nice jagged point where the top had broken off pointing upwards. Annoying enough in itself but you as you can't recycle wine glasses it shouldn't have been there anyway. I guess the rest of the glass is now contaminating the recycling system.

Sat in the car park waiting for the missus when an old biddy reversed into me from the space behind me. I got out of the car as she pulled forward and yelled at her to stop. Turns out she didn't even realise she'd hit my car! She's also driven straight forward after hitting me, so proceeded to reverse again and nearly ran me over. It was only when I slammed my hand down on the roof of her car that she stopped reversing again!
