I had a local anaesthetic spray to the back of the mouth. It wasn't so much "painful" , but very uncomfortable

As you say, not painful, but a very unpleasant procedure.  When I had it a nurse was beside me the entire time to make sure I didn't move too quickly or choke.

I bet all the people who assumed it had gone in the other end just had a heart attack to find out it went that far up. :#

END oscopy doesn't mean that end!

I've had THAT one as well, and can assure it, as unpleasant as it was , it was nothing compared with today's procedure.

Well I had planned a day on the woods doing much needed bird box maintenance but I managed to trap the rat last night so I'm spending the day sanitising the garage and going to the tip with the stuff that's ruined instead. It looks like it had been catching and eating mice too so as you can imagine there's some quite grim things to clean up. Luckily it had made its bed in and old bird seed bag so quite a lot of mess was contained in there. Still a pretty horrible job though :|

I used the Italian term for my colonoscopy - an innuendo.

I wonder if it's the only medical device which actually causes what it's supposedly looking for.
