Thank yo you you all for your kind thoughts, I think by Monday he will stiffen up, I don’t think he should do all that driving so soon. Ā He’s got about 50 or 60 miles before his first drop, the across the width of Cornwall, then back home. Ā Let’s hope he doesn't Ā have too many heavy parcels.Ā

I've just seen this @Lyn. Hope your son is ok - and not too sore. He could be worse in the coming days, as you say.Ā
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

@Lyn, wishing your son a speedy recovery. Probably best if he does not drive tomorrow, although I appreciate why he would want to.

Thank you all for good wishes, too loyal for his own good. Ā Others will be put under pressure if he’s not there.
When he had that 3 months off with his illness they took on a temp but can’t do that for just a few days.

'...Ceci n'est pas une pipe...' as Maigret said while lighting his pipe.
Actually, that sentence comes from a painting by Belgian painter Magritte.
    Magritte ≠ Maigret!

Papi - wan't Maigret a surrealist? Didn't you get the image of Maigret in you mind - smoking that pipe you posted?
When I was a lot, lot younger, Brighton Museum had an art exhibition and they had a pair of boots with toes on a beach. Then along comes Monty Python...l

...as for the Christmas 'musak' - what does make a good Christmas song (or carol for that matter)?
My old bro likes the Fairytale of New York...hmmm...
Chris Rea'sĀ  Joys of Christmas appeals to me - as does anything from theĀ  Nat & Dean's Christmas album. My kids like that too - but then they also like Michael Bubble - and that Christmas album does nothing for me.
The old vinyl Motown Christmas album was good for me, as is the James Taylor (especially Jingle Bells - that the kids hate).
Nearly time to real out the Christmas playlist....
