The garden beat the tax returns😁

Have just come in from cutting back and tidying two borders. It was all wet through but, as ever, once in the head down, bum up position, I thoroughly enjoyed being in the fresh air. It's cold and damp but I have a little Ready Brek type glow from working. Promised myself I only needed to do half an hour if I wasn't enjoying it. Managed 3 hours until bad light stopped play - not bad for November.

Did you get the leaves cleared Joyce?

I've given up making Christmas cakes. We both enjoy them but neither of us needs to eat them - so better to not have the temptation there. MIL sometimes gives us a chunk of their cake. She likes making it but they don't get through a whole one either unless they've had lots of visitors.

Hope the decorating's going ok Chive and hope Rebecca is keeping warm at Rubee's.

Runners - the only thing I ever find in my boot is the odd packet of ham or some such which fell out of the shopping bag a week ago. Not a good find....🤢

Joyce, I have never managed to get alliums to 'do' for me either and I would really love some of those big ones.
T'Bird - ham in the boot is a scary thought. Fermenting (or fomenting!) nicely!

Runny a lucky find for the Alliums.  Ante hope you get the ingredients for your baking.  LB hope the cake is coming along nicely.  Topbird I've just popped around for a cup of tea. Not heard anything all day from V the cogs seem to turn slowly.  They probably don't enter it on the system for a referral there until Monday but apparently V will then have my number.  Chive and Joyce hope you're both having a relaxing day.

    Good evening to all.
I came home an hour ago. It's pouring outside but I had a two hours without rain, so better than nothing. I bought more than i expected. I walked in one GC and there was a big sign above cash register: "50% off on bulbs, shrub and fruit saplings". So I bought more tulips, one persimmon chocolate sapling and three emperor fritillaria Aurora bulbs.
Quite productive day and I'm satisfied. I'll have cup of tea now and read my book. It's perfect time for that.

RUNNY that's a nice surprise in your boots. I found only once something in my boots and that was mices family. My alliums are nice first year but  they don't appear next time.

Good afternoon . TBird , Rebecca is with us keeping warm . She can stay over night  if she wants to.I haven’t done much today . I did go through my jumper shelf and found some lovely jumpers that I had forgotten about. Still trying to cut down on clutter .

Oh Runny, I could say that I make a joke but truth is that I misunderstood😊.

About car cleaning, I do this once a week. If someone drives with me food and smoking are forbidden.
