Time to hug a mug then Ruby. Good to see you Kitty. Some rules about uniforms are plain bonkers. I know how miserable I feel when I'm cold and it must similar for small people.

Hi LB 😀. Reading back it seems others have been busy closet clearing like me. I've done 3 bin bags to the charity shop and filled my mums black wheelie bin full of "rags". Filled her green bin to the brim too doing a winter clear up of her garden. Masses of bindweed coming in from nextdoor 😮.

I love having a good clear out Kitty - wardrobes, gardens, garage, shed, greenhouse but when I have finished I cannot see the gaps where things have been. I'm sure that they must be there but 'things' seem to migrate into the spaces.

Hmmm... yes, migrating things is an issue I know well LB. (sigh 😞)
I'm hoping that the, now weed free, clear patio space will be a nice surprise when the parents return from their 'holiday home', and don't just view it as another gap to put stuff in.

I was astonished by the quantity of garden "ornaments" I discovered in the undergrowth.
    A proper GOS collection. 😖

Thank you for your kind messages.  I have been in touch but no appointment has been arranged as yet.  I'm wondering if they'll have to take it out because it's not safe and it was also losing water.    I will wait and see.  I have a small heater but doesn't heat the room.  When I initially had it installed they put the new thermostat on 30 and I did find it warm but it would switch off fairly quickly and the room soon cooled down and it would be temperamental to use.  Lower temperatures would not warm the room.  With my previous boiler although problems occurred after years and years of service this didn't happen and I was able to have it on a normal heat.  As I've been told the problems I'm having are common with the V but I wonder if others have a danger notice pinned to the boiler and having the gas isolated.  Hopefully it will be sorted soon.  I'm very thankful Rubee is just a short distance away.  I'm having a cuppa and a late lunch.

Good grief Rebecca. That is dreadful service. I would be kicking off seriously now  threatening them with solicitors and all sorts. Was it the boiler company who installed it or your gas provider? Citizen's Advice might be able to offer help as to how to proceed.

You take care PF. I'm sure that that will be a big help to Rebecca.

I phoned the service co again and they checked again the system and then said they would ring v.  V rang me back and confirmed an engineer would give me a ring between 8am-8.30am in the morning to do the work and to remove all pets from the property now.  Alfie has had double dreamies and is sniffing his way around at Rubees.  I have had a quick vac round etc.  Fingers crossed.

Well done there Rebecca. Fingers crossed that they live up to their promise. Its not a ring you want its a satisfactory repair - preferably with a new boiler not this present one patched up. If not tell them you will blast them on Social Media if they fail this time. Alfie will be thinking he's on his holidays.
