When I was working a new young teacher came to the school and horrified us by saying "the bell's went".   She probably said " should of" as well.l

PS: Meant to say Thank You for your kind words about the garden. I know it’s not the end of the world but I’m feeling a tad gutted about it. See someone else has also started a thread about HF so I’m feeling less on my own and you lot always cheer me up!

MIL born 1935 and living in a very working class environment (miners, terraced house in W Yorks) always had a tree as a child. She still has a couple of ornaments.

Millicent is a step above but 10 years earlier.

    On balance I vote YES🙂

I vote 'yes' too for Millicent to have a tree.

Definitely. My farm will have one - when I get the farm built that is!

Even in the 60’s none of my family and friends had an artificial tree because they just looked too - well - artificial. Often made of silver tinsel as I recall.
We all had small (no ceiling scrapers) real ones - and we all spent the following 9 months of the year vaccing up the needles😁

My farmhouse is modern day. The farm will have been in the family for generations so the farmhouse will have an eclectic mix of several eras. I think I have shown the conservatory on Rez - or bits of it anyway. That is the first building to be done. Its going to be a conservatory/greenhouse because I've got my potting bench; compost; plant troughs/pots; watering cans. ladders, tools wheel barrow, hose pipe and tap etc etc. Also all the fruit and vegetables. I can't remember all the stuff in there.
    p.s. I do know I have 1 spring onion!

I think I dropped lucky with a job lot of stuff I got off that famous auction site. It was like opening a treasure chest. I want to put a floor in the conservatory then it will be good to go.

Good evening everyone. Loved reading what you have said about the little house and farm . Can’t wait to see your progress MU and you beginning to build yours LB.
I have had a quiet day . There has been the occasional hiss from one of the cats but nothing to worry about .
I feel so sorry that Rebecca is having so much trouble with her boiler . I hopeFriday brings a positive outcome from the gas engineers.
