Phew . Been through another big shelf of clothes . More bags for charity in the porch .Also went through wardrobe ,found a lovely long waistcoat that I can’t remember buying .It must have been there five or six years .Good job waistcoats don’t date .Joyce enjoy your drive ,take care .Pansy , so sorry that you have broken your glasses. Yesterday I put my glasses down and had forty winks . When I woke up I couldn’t see where they were . I knew where my spare pair was . Fumbled my way upstairs and into the bedroom . Pulled open the drawer where I keep my spare pair , and felt around for the case .Put the specs on and came downstairs . When I went into the sitting room my specs were sitting on the little table within a foot of where I sit . I do hope that you can get a replacement soon .
Pansy I do feel for you breaking your glasses. Hope oh can take you to get a new pair or have them repaired. Terrible weather in Brisbane Ante. I'm glad you have some sunshine. Lants I hope Tiggs is okay and you're both keeping well. Chive it's a brave endeavour undertaking decorating at this time of year. Debs I'm glad you and hubby enjoyed your break. LB Joyce and Lily hope you are keeping warm. Nothing has happened with the boiler. Last year when eventually V came they didn't seem to know what to do and were reading the manual, but as an engineer earlier in the year, one of theirs, took it away. I have nothing to refer to but it's permanently off now. Having a cup of tea at Rubees.
Afters all, I think I might have worded my last post wrong. I finished my treatment on December the first 2017. I remember the date every year. I will get my final all clear.......hopefully ...... in December 2022. 5 years from final treatment.
Afties all. Good catch up with rellies today. Thick fog here first thing bit it didn't last too long and now its the usual rain. Ante, my relatives in Australia do not live near Brisbane and are also well away from the fires - thank goodness.
Debs, I often think the same thing about my birds when I watch them going in the bird bath. Blackbirds and robins are the cleanest birds in my garden, followed by the sparrows. They really do go for it and water droplets flirt out all ways when they are bathing. I've got a very cute video on my phone that I took through the living room window.
Joyce, are you visiting your uncle today?
PF - sorry on both counts for the breaking of your specs and your family in Brisbane. I once put my glasses on and wondered why my vision was so bad - then I remembered I had my contact lenses in!
Ruby, a woman after my own heart. I love having a good clear out and I give my preloved clothing to the Hospice. Hazel, do you feed your birds all year around? That will bring them into your garden.
Rebecca, I hope that the boiler gets seen to for you this week. Its no joke being cold. Great that you can nip round to Ruby's for a thaw out.

Horrible drive back home. The low sun through the trees meant it was like driving with strobe lighting which I can't tolerate.
Pansy, sorry about your specs. I always have spare ones as life is a blur otherwise. Rubee, congratulations on your clear out. Chive, i hope the painting is going well.
Afties all. Just come in from another 3 hours cutting back and tidying up outside. Leaving lots of areas uncut for the local wildlife but it's nice to see the borders closest to the house a bit tidier.
Several wrens, robins, blue tits and blackbirds following me round the garden which makes a change from the fat pigeons. Mrs wren almost looks as though she's building a nest in one of the eleagnus bushes. She wouldn't be doing that at this time of year would she? I don't know. There still seems to be lots of worms, insects, berries and seed heads for the birdies - positive banquet for them.🙂
Good to see you Pauline🙂 You will never forget your end of treatment date.
SGL - you're right - this year has whizzed by.
Sorry to hear about your specs Pansy. I only need them for reading but I still have 3 pairs of prescription ones plus about 5 pairs of off-the-shelf jobbies. Have them dotted all over the house but can never find a pair when I really need them.
Joyce -I find it difficult driving into a low winter sun and the strobe effect when going through trees is horrid. Gives me a headache if it lasts for more than a few seconds.
Right - I'm away to clean up. A nice hot bath sounds tempting....
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
T'Bird, I'm interested in what you had to say about the wren as yesterday I watched a sparrow break a twig about 5cm long off my climbing hydrangea and fly off with it. Nesting crossed my mind but it is the wrong time of year.

Pauline may all steps be positive for you. Chive enjoy your meal. Slow cookers are so useful. Joyce the low sun can be rather dangerous I'm glad you are safely home. Topbird wishing you a restful evening after your gardening. LB I love watching the birds and their comings and goings and do hope they are not nesting at this time of year.
Chive, love my slow cooker, great to use on a busy day and all you have to do is the potatoes 🤗 And not much washing up either 😉😉 I'm trying to get organised with Xmas gifts because of OH still recovering and can't really come shopping with me. He's still not driving....and I don't 😕 Only have the 3 poppets pressies....none for OH or the poppets mummies and daddies😔 I'm really stuck for them as they have no idea what they want, except one DIL who wants vouchers. I'll still get her a few bits to open though.
Wow, Tbird, you've been busy.........think you deserve a G&T😉 Hazel, love the wrapping up......but I leave it till the last week so it can go under the tree straight away.....have to hide from the little ones 😉😂 Joyce glad you're back home ok. Pansy I didn't see your post about your glasses either, hope they can be fixed.
SGL its very special seeing little faces on C*******s Day when they open all their presents. I'll bet Poppet 1 will be over the moon with her hobby horse.
